The non-profit L™, with our lab space in the NS-LIJ Feinstein Institute, is about taking off-the-shelf technology and seeing how far we can push it.

In connecting people with technology and thinking in new ways we have often found that we can "tweak and re-deploy" what we already have avaliable ... enhancing what we find in the vast world of computing and making it useful in the hospital environment.

 

Here are some examples of projects that we are now working on:

NOTE: In order to view these files (.m4v format) you will need the Quicktime player. This is a newer video standard that allows greater definition and smaller file sizes than before. It is used on both Macs and PCs along with mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad and Android phones. Depending on your internet speed, the videos may take some time to buffer.

If you cannot view the movies download the free quicktime player, install, and restart your computer's internet browser. The player is available here:

    Notes on Playback:

1) On Mac you may wish to right click or Control + Click - and "Download Linked File As...;" on Windows you may wish to right click and "Save Target As..." to save a movie to your hard drive.

2) If you are not seeing the movie play, first check your Downloads folder as your computer may have simply saved the file instead of playing it.

Distortion of patient's facial area is normal and is done for de-indentifying purposes.
